FLINT is housed in a beautiful 14th Century building in the historic market town of Lewes and is a truly individual shop. We first opened our doors in 2002 and since then have strived to find all sorts of wonderful, unusual and stylish things inspired by our love of travel. A carefully chosen collection of beautiful clothes, bags, scarves and shoes are upstairs on the first floor complemented by perfumes from exclusive brands such as Abel, Escentric Molecules, DS & Durga, Laboratory Perfume and Maya Njie together with natural and ethical haircare and skincare from Honest, Aybury, Evolve Natural Beauty, Cult of Treeshouse, Tincture, John Masters Organics, This Works and Bamford. Fresh flowers are available all year round, they're for sale on the ground floor where we offer our floristry service. We also sell an interesting, carefully edited selection of books and a range of things for your home, sourced from around the world.

Our Flower Table..

Our flower table changes every few days...the seasons obviously dictate but it also depends on what our suppliers bring us in and what we can find. It's lucky day when the hydrangea man arrives with armfuls of saucer sized blooms, stopping us literally in our tracks as exclaim excitedly and then run around looking for big enough buckets for them... For us, flowers are an important aspect to the shop and a way of honoring the seasons. We love the thought of bringing the outside in and at the moment our table is laden with berries and hips and coppery leaves. Huge branches of beech are plunged into pots and windfall apples are gathered into baskets to create autumnal table...

Our work began back in the spring. In fact, Julia and I probably started thinking about our winter wardrobes and what FLINT would present, as early as the winter before that.
