The new season collection from French designer, American Vintage is the latest to land in store. A firm favourite with our customers, this brand's signature are the easy, comfortable basics they bring us season after season. Ideal for layering up before the warmer weather gets underway, these clothes work as great building blocks in your wardrobe. This season has a real 'loungewear' feel to it with great sweatshirts and tees, leggings and joggers in a neutral palette of pale grey, white and dark blue.
These long line tops are made of 100% Pima cotton - a lovely, lightweight cotton fabric that is just so comfortable and soft to wear against your skin. Wear them under shirts and sweaters now and as a thin top come summer.
Knitwear is also key.. this gorgeous grey sweater is one to wear right now. Soft and warm and a little bit on the slouchy side, in a knobbly grey alpaca blend, this comes in a one-size-fits-all to make things even easier..

The latest collection to hit our shop rails has come from East By East West, a designer who consistently delivers beautifully made clothes with unusual detailing, in incredible fabrics. This season reminds me somewhat of the stunning black and white photographs of the 1920's taken by the French photographer Jaques Henri Lartigue. Their simplistic clothes in pale cream and white are echoed here and have me yearning for summer..
MOA Organic skincare comes to FLINT
Clean, eco, ethically made, beautifully packaged, efficient yet gentle are a few of the watchwords we look for when seeking out new skincare products for our shelves. And whilst there's an absolute myriad of skincare lines on the market, our aim is to narrow it down for you a bit by looking for niche brands that really deliver. We road test every product we sell and the idea of sharing the knowledge is an aspect of the shop that we really love.
The latest company to catch our eye is this one - MOA Organic. Their philosophy is based around mystical folklore with a 'sprinkling of magic' and they infuse their products with a miraculous ingredient - Yarrow (Achillea millefolium). Used for centuries for its healing, soothing and repairing properties, this amazing herb is now sown and grown by hand by MOA, in Somerset.
We've been so impressed by this range, especially their Green Balm, an amazing multi-tasking product that can ease scarring, calm itchy skin, soothe dry patches but one that also works as a brilliant facial cleanser. Used with their bamboo face cloth, it also gives your complexion an invigorating massage.. It's also great to keep on the nightstand to use last thing before bed to moisturise and soften your hands. Each and every product has a clean, herbal scent to it, especially the Fortifying Bath Potion which with it's invigorating and revitalising essential oils of peppermint, fennel, sweet birch and fir needle, eases muscles and is the perfect addition to your evening bath after a cold day.
We're pleased to say all the products in the range are packaged without the need for plastic. MOA use glass bottles or jars and cardboard containers, which naturally ticks another box for us...

Our florist Julia has quite a following here in Sussex.. her fresh, seasonal flowers are a strong feature in our shop and has garnered fans far and wide. Her signature look of naturally inspired posies and arrangements often combine seeds and grasses and berries that she's foraged from the hedgerows around Lewes and help create a really natural and organic feel to her work that our customers love.
This season we felt it might be nice to add another dimension to our flower table and having been seduced by the beauty of these preserved flowers, our florist Julia has been inspired and has been happily creating a range of lovely posies and arrangements to sell at the shop. We've put a small selection online for you to buy if you don't live nearby.
We've also been working on a range of decorative wreaths that work beautifully as table centre pieces... The flowers we use are of first rate quality and have a natural, organic feel to them. The flowers are wired onto a copper wire frame and will last a lifetime..
In the meantime, as the curtain is drawn on another successful year, we would like to thank all our wonderful and treasured customers for their continued support. We wish you all a very happy Christmas and are looking forward to seeing you again in the New Year.

This lovely range from Austin Austin Organic was founded by father and daughter, Bessie and Richard Austin who live in Norfolk and believe as we do, in natural, organic, ethical and effective apothecary.
Each product comes boxed and decorated with Bessie's beautiful designs and make wonderful gifts for loved ones this Christmas.
Divinely perfumed with natural fragrances, these products are free from GM ingredients, parabens, silicones, SLS, mineral oil, artificial colours and fragrance. All the products in the range are certified organic by the Soil Association and COSMOS.
The packaging is 100% recycled and recyclable.
Tested on humans, not animals. All the products are vegan apart from the Body Cream as it contains a small amount of beeswax
