The pandemic has affected us all in different ways. Many of us feel unsafe going into shops or perhaps can't because they're shielding. Judging by the messages we've received lately, many of you are already thinking about Christmas and worried about how you're going to go about your gift buying.
Perhaps you have a list of people you'd like to buy for but are unsure of what to give? Would you like to buy something for someone you know loves our store but you don't know where to start?
Over the coming weeks we have lots of beautiful and unusual gift ideas arriving and some, but not all, will be on our website. If you'd like our help with choosing, feel free to email your queries to Heidi at sales@flintcollection.com . We'll not only help with suggestions, we'll wrap your purchases in tissue or even gift wrap them if you'd like and we'll have them ready for you to collect or delivered to your address, wherever you are.

'Lewes Afternoon'

A new collection of works by local landscape artist Sarah Weedon, will be arriving at FLINT at the end of the week. This one, which has to be one of our favourites, was painted in situ early this summer, and captures dramatic dark clouds rolling over the line of chalk cliffs not far from our shop door.

As many of you know, we've sold fresh flowers from the day we opened our doors at 49 High street. Julia our resident florist, chooses only the freshest blooms for the table at the shop and her naturalistic, free form displays, often using unusual and locally grown varieties, have garnered her a loyal following over the many years we've been open. Many fans of our flower table have since recommended her for weddings and special events and we've been lucky enough to work on some really wonderful projects.
Whilst we loathe plastic and silk flower alternatives, we have always loved preserved flowers and have been experimenting with drying our own and making everlasting posies with them. Julia makes really pretty bouquets, always in her signature style, wrapped with brown paper and tied with paper string and often there's a basket of beautiful bouquets for sale at the shop...
Since the pandemic has made it more complicated in sourcing our fresh flowers, we have turned our flower table into offering preserved ones, at least for the immediate future. We are now offering a beautiful range of flowers, seed heads and leaves, specially chosen for their rare quality and fragile beauty and we do hope you love them as much as we do.

Our doors are reopening on Saturday, July 4th 11am - 4pm and we can't wait to welcome you back. There have been a few changes whilst we've been away.. We've amended our opening times to slightly reduced hours. We shall now be open Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11am - 4pm.
All our collections are now displayed on the ground floor and we've rearranged the shop to create wider spaces to move around.
I'm afraid we can only allow two customers in the shop at any one time unless you're in a family group, and would appreciate your understanding and patience.
There will be hand sanitiser provided and would ask you to use this before browsing. We also have gloves and masks if you'd like to use these too.
